The majestic cliff faces of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the impressive Cristallo massif and the pale summits of the Cadini mountain group: These are only a few of the most famous mountain, which give Toblach the appropriate name “the Gateway to the Dolomites”.
Each year Toblach attracts numerous tourist and is very popular for its perfect location in the midst of an excellent hiking and climbing region.
The area is situated between the nature parks Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Sextner Dolomites) and Fanes-Sennes Braies. The wonderful nature, the diverse flora and fauna, as well as the wide variety of possibilities to be active and inactive leave nothing to be desired!

Mountains in the immediate vicinity such as the Neuner, the Sarlkofel or the Corno Fana are waiting to be climbed and discovered. Nearby are also the high plateau Plätzwiese, the Dürrenstein and the beautiful Croda Rossa, from where many exciting and eventful hikes can be undertaken.
Whether you go alone, with a small group or the whole family, the possible activities are various – interesting educational paths (directly around the Toblacher See), varied hiking and trekking tours and much more. Both the Dolomites Alta Via no. 3 (high altitude trail of the Dolomites) and the legendary Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago de Compostela lead through this area.
