Running in South Tyrol

It’s commonly known that running, the most popular endurance sport, is very good for our body and soul. Jogging out in the fresh air keeps us fit, strengthens the heart and circulation and is, on top of everything else, great fun.

Here, you can learn more about where you can train your condition best in and around Toblach.
Directly from the Camping site you can easily reach many varied running trails through the stunning landscape of South Tyrol.
A forest path, closed for bicyclists, extends along the left shore of the lake and leads to an interesting educational path and over several small bridges – wonderful views over the peaceful and beautiful Toblacher See are guaranteed.
Of course, it’s also possible to extend your run towards Toblach.
Particularly famous is the route from Cortina to Toblach, also known as the Dolomitenlauf race, but it’s only suitable for top athletes and sportsmen. The route along the abandoned railway track is 30 km long and was discovered in 1988 by the Italian marathon runner Gianni Poli during the phase of preparation for the Boston marathon. Nowadays over 4000 international athletes participate in this major sporting event.
